Please call early in the day for same day urgent appointments. Phones open at 8:30am. These appointments fill quickly.
Appointments can be scheduled over the phone or in person. Some physicians also allow for appointment booking via the Health Myself Portal. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time, as a no show fee will apply for late and missed appointments. Appointment reminders are sent via the Health Myself portal if you have registered for this email service.
Often a minor problem such as a bladder infection, ear ache, sore throat or minor injury such as a sprained ankle may occur overnight. We ensure that there are urgent spots available daily for such problems. We have a limited number of spaces each day. To ensure we can meet your needs, please call early in the day. If your doctor is not available then you may be offered an urgent appointment with one of our other doctors in our urgent clinics or with the on call doctor. Please note, these appointments are for ONE issue only. They are not meant for follow ups, lists of concerns, chronic issues, check ups, or other non-urgent concerns.
Missed appointments with physicians and nurses will result in a fee corresponding to the type of appointment missed. We require 24 hours notice for cancellations. Any cancellation with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a missed appointment Fee.
Should you arrive late for your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule. Additionally, a missed appointment fee may apply.
If you take regular medications, please make sure you call well in advance of running out of medication to book an appointment with your doctor for refills. Renewal of routine medication will not be viewed as a reason for an urgent appointment. There is no fee when prescriptions are requested during an appointment.
Effective June 1st 2024, there will be a $20 fee for all prescription renewals without a visit.
How do I request a prescription renewal without a visit?
To request a refill, please call our office or send a message on Health Myself (HMS/ Pomelo) with the list of medications you request refills for (include name and dose). Once payment is received, your request will be sent to your physician. They will review and respond to your request within 5 business days. Payment can be made by phone (Visa or Mastercard) or e-transfer (more information to come).
Requests for renewals from your pharmacy will be automatically denied.

An appointment with your family doctor is needed for all referral requests. When a referral for a test or to a specialist is made, you will be contacted by their clinic regarding your appointment date/time. You will also be advised at this time of any special preparation required for your appointment. Wait times for specialist consultations and special tests vary tremendously. Unless your problem is urgent, please wait at least four (4) weeks before phoning to check on the status of your referral.
Your doctor will review your results promptly upon receiving them. Please ask your doctor about their policy for calling patients about results (ie No news is good news). Our front staff are not medical personnel and as such are not able to provide your results over the phone. If you have not heard back but would like to review your results, please book an appointment to do so with your doctor. You may inquire with the staff member booking your appointment to ensure the specific result you wish to review has in fact been received. Should you have ongoing symptoms, we encourage you to arrange follow up with your doctor to discuss.
The College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario expects physicians will complete and submit third party reports within sixty (60) days. We ask that forms be dropped off in advance of booking an appointment with your doctor for review. Also, the patient must complete their portion of the form in advance, otherwise, it will not be completed by your physician. When completed, you will be contacted accordingly. If you have not been informed after thirty (30) days, please call us to inquire on the status of your form.
We accept cheques, debit cards, Visa or Mastercard.
As a member of our Family Health Organization (FHO) you are encouraged to use our facility for your urgent and routine medical needs. You may not be aware that the government charges your doctor a penalty fee every time you seek care outside of our FHO. As such, we ask that reach our office for your medical concerns, unless it is a medical emergency and your doctor is unavailable. If you have an urgent medical problem outside our regular hours, we ask that you call the Tele-Health Assistance System (THAS) line at 1-866-553-7205, or, if a medical emergency, go to the nearest Emergency Department at your nearest hospital.
Patient feedback is extremely important to us as it provides an opportunity to review the care we are providing. Feedback includes suggestions, compliments, and complaints regarding the front line services we provide. Should you wish to discuss your experience further, you may contact the Clinic Manager directly at 613-822-0411, or, send us your written feedback placed in a confidential envelope addressed to the Manager. Also, from time-to-time, we may also take the opportunity to reach out to you directly to inquire on how you were serviced by our front line team ranging from the point of booking your appointment, checking in at our front desk, to checking out.
